Wow… I just finished watching “The adventures of Mark Twain.” It was really interesting and got me thinking about my own writing now… also a crazy thing! So prior to finishing this movie I had texted one of my best friends this:
I hope it’s an experience texting me… I genuinely do. I hope I bring thee joy in the mundane. Ahhh… the mundane. It reminds me of a T.S Eliot quote I read when I was but a young gal; “I have measured my life out in coffee spoons.” This in turn has made me think of a Pablo Picasso quote that was always my favorite; “Art washes away from the soul the dust of every day life.” I think…that {deep sigh} LAUGHTER does it too…I really do…{says in a low almost whisper sensual voice} I really do.
So then at the end of the movie they hit ya with this quote:
“Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand.”
