Growing up I never really enjoyed keeping up with celeb gossip and drama, and I didn’t really have crushes on them either; at least not like most people do. I never wasted my time with pining over someone unattainable, instead I focused my efforts on finding WHO I was looking for all along. When it comes to celebrities, we see fragments of ourselves in them and therefore are attracted to whom we are seeking out as well as who we are wanting to become. Now I never once wanted to BE or COPY them, but there were aspects inside them that I wanted to embody myself or I wished to find in my true partner. I call these bread crumbs, we pick up as many as we can along the journey to our ONE and hold them tightly because we don’t know when the next one will come, then when we find our person it all makes sense as to why we felt so drawn to these things in other people, we realize that everything we’ve liked in others this singular person has within them. So once you find your true love, why would you move backwards towards breadcrumbs when you can now FINALLY hold the whole world in your arms? You get to look into the very eyes you’ve been searching for in every passerby your entire existence. A crush is a deep infatuation with someone and a person you can see yourself dating right? A series of mini crushes have led to the big one; and in my opinion I never want to look anywhere else. There’s only one set of eyes I see, and they belong in one skull. That’s all I’ll ever need and want forever. So when I say I don’t have a celebrity crush, I truly mean it. Why the actual fuck would I wanna move backwards instead of forward with all the love in the cosmos?! Now THAT’S crazy. I’m not saying that some aren’t beautiful, I totally recognize their beauty it’s just that there’s nothing to it. You acknowledge that a pretty face is there so you’re not rude ofc, but you don’t WANT anything because your heart knows that’s NOT the person you NEED. We catch glimpses of the other through the people we have been attracted to, and in the end of a just beginning it all comes together so nicely.
As I said, growing up I had my favorite characters (like Tarzan for one, Harry Potter for another example, and ofc William Turner!But also; MARSHALL LEE) as well as fave actors & actresses that I resonated with deeply. I never truly had a crush on anyone though except for Heath Ledger, Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Andrew Garfield(Spiderman duhh), Douglas Booth(Romeo&Juliet, then LOL lovedd the fits in that movie!), Paul Walker, Jared Padalecki, Johnny Depp, Josh Hartnett, Ryan Reynolds(The Proposal then DEADPOOL!) and a pro skateboarder named Sean Malto who was probably the first one of em I ever crushed on tbh. This was all when I was a teenager specifically, and everyone else had their favorites amongst these but I always thought that it’d be SOOO rad if you combined them…makes A LOT of sense now.🤭
As a child my favorite movie was Sleeping Beauty for the longest time, so naturally my first ever crush was Prince Phillip! Funnily enough the second was actually Shaggy because Scooby Doo has always been my favorite show. Then it was on Rudolph from The Little Vampire(2000), next Peter Pan(2003 live action), after that Beast Boy from the OG Teen Titans! I feel like a lot of people can rock with this next crush: SHARKBOY!🦈 Then it was Mac from Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, Jake from American Dragon: Jake Long, Jim from Treasure Planet, and deeply Demetri from Anastasia. Next up was Prince Caspian from Narnia⚔️ and Westley from The Princess Bride. Lastly, I don’t remember WHEN EXACTLY it was but I do remember that the first time I saw an episode of Futurama, I thought Fry was a really fucking cool and unique name!
