As I sit sipping my black coffee I feel the wind gently blowing my hair from my face
I watch as the dark brown and blue strands sway to and fro like a secret dance only they know
I think it’s beautiful how they twist and turn so delicately, I love these curls.
The sun begins to peak through the leaves of the trees my grandfather so carefully and lovingly planted here on this land of ours.
The clouds remind me of the time I flew through the sky after jumping out of an air plane and it breathes new life into my lungs to reminisce like this.
The hard cold concrete beneath my bottom remind me to stay grounded.
